about

We present these songs as a response to the beautiful novel All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. Set in Saint Malo, France in August, 1944. Each song is told from the perspective of the novel's hero and heroine just before the tragic destruction of the city during WWII.

about

Plume Varia Denver, Colorado

Plume Varia's music is the balance of lonesome lilting melody and the promise of assured forward motion. Cherie's alluring and imaginative songwriting married with Shon's pull to darker, brooding production creates a dense, refined and consuming sound.

Track Name: Vernor
Hey now perfect ghost
I hear you now the most
creep in, sight unseen
alight a grave for me

Tune in every night
you brought Leagues to life
your voice safe as stone
but I'm flesh and bone

Suffer all this space
cruel as the lives we chase
obscene as the truth
awaken my lines to you

Hey now perfect ghost
I hear you now the most
creep in, sight unseen
alight a grave for me
a grave for me
for me

I hear you call
I hear you call
Track Name: Forge
Is this how you come
my love
meaning all you say,
"Are you here?"
My silent ascent
whispers

Will you not come with me
Will you not come with me

Sans arms and words
torch me cavernous
never feel again
in that way

Will you not come with me
Will you not come with me

We'll walk to the sea before we part
I'll hand you this key, it'll come back to me

Will you not come with me
Will you not come with me

We'll walk to the sea before we part
I'll hand you this key, it'll come back to me

My love, my enemy
My love, my enemy

We'll walk to the sea
We'll walk to the sea
